Fashion Magazine recently posted an article highlighting ten trends for Fall 2014 inspired by the runway and some Canadian Beauty Bloggers thought it would be fun to put our own spins on those trends!
Of all the trends, this one is probably the one I am the most comfortable with. I have been leaning towards a more minimalistic makeup look lately (and I even posted my take on the No Makeup Makeup Look not that long ago…) so I just simplified my every day makeup a bit.
For my base I used Benefit’s That Gal primer to brighten, then a mixture of MAC’s Matchmaster Foundation in 1.0 and Rimmel’s BB Cream in Light for a medium coverage foundation. To cover any of the spots or dark circles still poking about I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair to finish off my flawless base. I added the tiniest bit of The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer in 01 to add some dimension to my cheeks and forehead and swept Joe Fresh’s blush in Pale Peach on the apples of my cheeks for a natural flush. To brighten up my face a bit, I swept a brush lightly through e.l.f.’s Baked Blush in Pinktastic and dusted it onto my cheek bones, cupids bow and nose.
On my eyes I pulled out a palette I haven’t used for ages – Sephora’s Natural Instincts palette. I used two colours: pearl all over the lid and to highlight the browbone and tear duct, and sandy brown blended into my crease to add just a little bit of definition. I skipped both the mascara and an eyeliner and dabbed a light layer of Makeup For Ever’s Rouge Artist Natural in N9 Copper Pink – only the best YLBB lipstick ever. To finish off the look, I used Revlon’s Brow Fantasy Duo in Dark Brown to fill in my brows and badda boom badda bing! Natural makeup/no-makeup-makup for Fall 2014!
