Holiday Party Makeup

Holiday Party Makeup

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m getting bored of the cherry red lip for the holidays thing. Don’t get me wrong – I love a red lip as much as the next girl – but it feels so over done, at least for these kinds of posts. 😉 So I went to the opposite end of the makeup spectrum for my holiday makeup look – a dark eye and a pink lip.

I started off my look with my every day makeup routine – why fix something if it isn’t broken, right? Though instead of blush I added in a dusting of The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer along the outer edges of my face. I didn’t contour, exactly, I was just going for the summery bronzed look that I am kind of missing right now.

My eyes is where it gets pretty different. I started off with my Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner pencil in brown, actually and filled in my whole lid. I then took out my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk and blended that into the crease to add a bit of colour. It doesn’t add much to the finished look, but does give it a bit of warmth that is nice. I deepened my crease with my Naked 3 palette – specifically Liam, with Factory in the outer corner. I also pulled Liam onto my lower lash line and then patted a blend of Buzz and Trick onto the centre of my lid because this is a party look, dammit, and it needs shimmer!

I finished the eyes off by lining my eye with my brown pencil again and threw some of Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara onto my lashes. Add some of L’Oreal’s Collection Exclusive in Julianne’s Nude and boom! That’s my Holiday Party makeup!

What do you guys think? Will you be rocking a bold lip this holiday season or will you go for something else?
