Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.

Question – where did May go? I swear at the start of the month I was thinking that June was ages away, and now it’s here and my wedding anniversary is four days away. What.

Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

But with a new calendar page (yes, I still have a physical calendar – it’s of my niece and nephew and it’s ADORABLE) comes another wardrobe post. My makeup really didn’t change that much this month – I’m still obsessed with orange lips and coral cheeks – and my skincare is pretty underwhelming right now. Luckily I have discovered a fabulous combination of products this month that has left me pretty happy with how my hair looks.

Air Motion Pro Brush | Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

Air Motion Pro Brush About a year ago I won this awesome brush from Caroline Hirons‘ blog and haven’t touched another brush since. I won’t go into full details because I have written about it before, but it has saved my hair from a lot of breakage in the past year. I’m still in love, but I have noticed the brush is starting to lift away from the handle. Nooooooo.

Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Oil Elixir | Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

Herbal Essences Wild Naturals Oil Elixir I talked about this oil fairly recently, but it’s what has made the most difference to my routine. I use this every time I was my hair, focusing it on the ends but brushing it through the rest of my hair with my finger tips too. There is something about it that just makes my hair behave and feel sooooo soft.

bumble and bumble Straight Blow Dry | Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

Bumble and bumble Straight Blow Dry I bought this balm ages ago after falling in love with a sample that I got during one of Sephora’s Black Friday sales. I went through a long period where I stopped using it, but I recently started using it again and I remember why I loved it so much. My hair is pretty frizzy after blow drying, but this really helps it calm down. Bonus: it’s also a heat protectant. I will take all of that that I can!

COLAB Dry Shampoo | Haircare Wardrobe: May 2015

COLAB Dry Shampoo I can’t believe I haven’t written about this yet! This dry shampoo has changed everything for me. I’ve used dry shampoo for about a year but hadn’t found one that wow’d me until Ruth Crilly launched COLAB Dry Shampoo. There are two formulas: Sheer Invisible (which doesn’t leave the yucky white residue in your hair while leave your hair feeling clean) and Volume Extreme (my personal favourite, which pumps up the volume and texture of your hair). There are also two scents available in Canada – London (floral) and Rio (tropical). I was immediately drawn to Rio, but after using both I have definitely grown to like London too. I’m actually almost out and am going to force myself to use my Batiste dry shampoo before repurchasing but it’s going to be a sad sad time until then…

What have you been loving lately?

  1. Ooh, I like the look of that brush! And it’s always kind of exciting to hear about someone else loving a product that you really like (Colab). I’m just sorry to hear that you have to finish your Batiste before you can get back to the good stuff :p

  2. YAS I have a full sized can of London (volumizing formula) and I just love it SO MUCH. I usually use dry shamps to style my fringe, and the London scent just smells sooooo good. I’ve also been upping my ~haircare game~ as of late too, because I just want to achieve hairp0rn on a daily basis U.U
That Herbal Essences oil sounds divine, but I tend to find their products a hit/miss. I’ve recently been using a Marc Anthony hair oil though, and it smells of COCONUTS and it makes my hair so soft! 😀

  3. I really need to write a post about the Herbal Essences stuff eventually. The hair oil is good! I don’t really like spray dry shampoos so I’m not sure if I’ll try the COLAB one. The fact that it’s scented intrigues me though.
