Tea Time: David’s Tea Electric Lemonade

David's Tea Electric Lemonade

Lemonade is such a perfect summer drink – refreshing, tasty and it vivdly reminds me of my childhood. When I was young I spent most of my summer at my Grandma Butler’s house because she lived in town, so I actually got some socialization. (Ha! Thanks farm living 😉). Plus she was just the bomb diggity. I mean, where else did I get to raid of a stash of tasty crackers, pudding and Dunkaroo’s whenever I visited?

I remember one specific summer when my cousin and I decided that we were going to make a mobile lemonade stand. Grandma helped us make a big ol’ jug of lemonade and we walked around town with our lemonade in a red wagon, offering it to people. It’s one of those things where I think we only did it once, but I remember it so vividly. I can almost hear the voices of the townfolk.

I think that’s part of the reason I am so in love with David’s Tea Electric Lemonade maté. It’s this beautiful blend of lemon, berries and yerba maté that has the refreshing, tangy taste of lemonade with the energizing qualities of a tea. It’s like a trip down memory lane with a caffeinated, grown-up twist. I honestly can’t stop drinking it – I have it iced just about every day.

Do you have a similar memory trigger?

  1. Oh my god that story is too cute–though I don’t think kids do lemonade stands these days anymore LOL. A few days ago, I realised just how much tea I’ve bought in the past few months for icing, but the thing is, I HAVEN’T REALLY BEEN ICING MY TEA AS OF LATE BECAUSE THE WEATHER IS TOO MILD HERE NOWADAYS. But anyways, will definitely sniff Electric Lemonade next time I’m at David’s Tea!

    • I saw some kids doing one earlier this summer, but they were the first I’d seen in a long time! And I haven’t iced any either! Though that’s more like I don’t think of it until I want it RIGHT THEN and then I’m too impatient 😉
