Keeping it Natural with Kiwi Glow (Review + Giveaway!)

Kiwi Glow Organic Skincare | uptherollercoaster.com

This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.

It seems like the worst of the winter is over in Halifax (knock on wood) but my skin is still a bit drier than normal. Well…it’s turned into more normal to combination than normal to oily like it is in the summer. Basically what I’m saying is that it’s been a learning curve trying to make it happy, but trying Kiwi Glow skincare has been a super pleasant experience.

The Company

Kiwi Glow was created by Ana Robinson, who had been searching for the perfect skin conditioners that were also natural. After studying alternative medicine in Sydney, Australia, she created Kiwi Glow, named after the kiwi bird of her native country, New Zealand.

Kiwi Glow uses pure, unrefined, cold-press, organic sesame oil as the foundation for the products because sesame has some of the highest beneficial oil contents of any seed. Sesame is also known for its healing properties and skin benefits – so it seems to me like the choice was a natural one! (No pun intended 😜)

The Packaging

Kiwi Glow comes in beautiful glass bottles with a sturdy pump for easy use. The packaging is high quality and luxurious feeling, with a nice weighty feeling to the bottles. Not to mention how beautiful it is to look at! The glass is transparent, allowing you to see the sesame oil in all of it’s golden beauty.

The Product

I’ve been using Kiwi Glow since the beginning of February and it is so so moisturizing. If my skin is feeling a bit parched I just have to put a bit of this on and within ten minutes my skin feels soft and nourished. I really really love using Kiwi Glow as a body moisturizer especially. It’s still lovely on the face, don’t get me wrong, but the oil is fast absorbing and quick acting so it’s instant relief for scaly legs.

There are three scents in the Kiwi Glow line: Earth, Verde and Amaya. Each has a slight nutty, sesame scent to it from the oils, but they are also unique in their own right. I haven’t opened Verde and Amaya so that I could give them away, but I am very much enjoying the scent of Earth. When I first started to use Kiwi Glow I found the scent quite strong, but it wasn’t assaulting. It smells like patchouli mostly with a slight kick of vanilla and frankincense in there. The sesame oil gives a bit of a scent to it as well, but it is more of an after scent, if that makes sense. I’ve been really enjoying the smell of Earth and find it quite soothing.

For information on the other scents go to their website.
