How Much Does My Face Cost?

How Much Does My Face Cost?

This is terrifying to do – taking a look at the make up you use every day and calculate how much it cost you. I don’t even know what has made me decide that this is a good idea (I’m blaming Christine), other than I thought it would be fun. This would also vary day to day depending on what I wear, but I decided to go for a simple look and spare me too much heart ache.

I’ve had to google the prices I’ve used and some of them have been in foreign currencies, so they are according to today’s exchange rate which is unfortunately very dismal.

….yikes. I mean, these have been purchased over quite a few years and some were PR samples, etc but…still. I am really horrified. And after I calculated this I even considered switching out some of the products I chose, or taking out my skincare or what not, but that’s not the point of this tag is it?

If you want more I spent too much money on makeup goodness, Chelle also did this post a few years ago too. In the mean time I’m going to go distract myself from this scary number…

  1. I’ve seen a few posts similar to this too and yes, they are all usually crazy expensive numbers but on the other hand, we use extremely little each time so it’s not as expensive as the total number. Or at least that’s what I tell myself to make myself feel better at how much I actually spent on makeup and skincare. LOL!

    • haha TRUE! I suppose if I divided it by the number of days I used the items for it would feel a lot better – if I use the products for a year it is only a little over $1! So that’s pretty good.

  2. The big number always seem crazy but I feel if you broke it down per day cost it would be much more reasonable! Gotta love the shock value! I want to do this too!
