Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette Review & Look

It’s very rare to find a palette that can do the majority of my face makeup without it looking muddy or feeling boring. The Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face and Eyes (get a load of that name) is the only palette in my collection that is so incredibly versatile.

I admit, I wouldn’t have given this little gem a second glance in the drugstore without Tati of GlamLifeGuru mentioning it a bunch – there’s something about Physicians Formula that rarely draws me in. I think it’s a combination of the price and the style of packaging that just doesn’t speak to me…but the few things I’ve tried from the brand have treated me very well, so I guess I need to get passed that.

The Review

When worn all over the face you get a very shimmer complexion, so I prefer separating the palette into four different rows – gold, rose, copper and bronze. It’s also really simple to use it as an eyeshadow palette for a shimmery bronzey look that’s perfect for summer. Or any time, honestly, but I use it so much during the summer.

Like many Physicians Formula powders this palette does come with a mirror and a face and eye brush in the bottom of the packaging, but I never use those.

Swatches of gold, rose, copper and bronze rows on bare skin using a single swipe from a finger.

The shadows are beautiful to work with – they blend together easily and don’t end up muddy or blended into nothing. I’ve never experienced fallout with these either; they’re so creamy that if I didn’t know better I’d wonder if was a cream-to-powder finish. And as you can see from the swatches above, the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face and Eyes is incredibly pigmented.

The Makeup Look

For this makeup look I wanted to use the palette as many places as possible, so I used the bronze row as a bronzer, the rose row as a blush and the gold as a highlight. It ended up a bit shimmery for my tastes, so I’d probably would use the rose row as a blush topper instead of a straight up blush next time. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette Review & Look | uptherollercoaster.com
For my eyes I swept the gold all over the moveable part of my lid and into the tear duct, followed by the copper over my outer half and then the bronze to deepen the outer corner. I also really love using the rose shade all over my lid for more of a girl look.

As I said earlier I really love using the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face and Eyes during the summer – there’s just something about bronze and gold during the warm months!

  1. I want this for the bows, but I must resist! If you never told me it was Physician’s Formula, I would’ve never guessed by the look of just the palette! Love how warm the colours are; the coppery eyes + plum lip is gorgeous!!
