Can you tell that I’ve been obsessed with brightening skincare recently? I now own far more radiance boosting, moisturizing, brightening skincare than any one person ought to, but with the winter weather starting to roll in I have been so paranoid that my skin is going to turn into a dry ol’ husk. I’ve already experienced flakiness around my nose…I never thought I’d be longing for the oily days of summer.
Paula’s Choice has come to my rescue this time around and has provided me with two beautiful skincare bits to share with you today. So if you’ve been as obsessed with brightening skincare as I have been lately you’re in luck.
There is very little that gets me as excited as skincare infused makeup, so when the new Vichy Teint Ideal range landed in my mail box I was so eager to tear into it. I received five pieces from the line, including the Teint Ideal Fluid Foundation, Teint Ideal Cream Foundation, Teint Ideal Compact Powder, Teint Ideal Bronzer in Sunkissed Glow and Teint Ideal Highlighter.
The Teint Ideal range is held beautifully in nude and gold packaging that feels high quality without feeling like a bag of marbles in your bag. The liquid foundation comes with a pump (which I honestly expect at this point) and the applicators included in both the bronzer and powder foundation are useful for putting product on your face. Pretty good, huh?
One of my earliest “beauty” memories is doing the 7th Heaven masks with my sister when I was very young. I remember sitting in her bedroom and smearing a peel-off mask all over my face. I definitely didn’t need it at the time, but it was such a fun bonding experience none-the-less. So when these three masks showed up on my doorstep I got a little bit giddy with nostalgia.
I love these 7th Heaven masks for more than just the nostalgia, though. They’re amazingly affordable masks that do the job really well. They’re classics and they’ve been around for so long for a reason! Continue reading
There is nothing quite so exciting for me as trying out a new Canadian cosmetics brand – especially if it’s colour cosmetics. I love skincare to bits, but there is something so much more fun about playing with colour! Today’s new brand is Maison Jacynthe, a French Canadian brand by Jacynthe René, an actress and producer from Quebec.
Maison Jacynthe is a branch off of Jacynthe’s online lifestyle magazine and is both cruelty-free and 100% natural. Talk about a feel-good brand!
