Three to Try: 7th Heaven Masks for Oily Skin

One of my earliest “beauty” memories is doing the 7th Heaven masks with my sister when I was very young. I remember sitting in her bedroom and smearing a peel-off mask all over my face. I definitely didn’t need it at the time, but it was such a fun bonding experience none-the-less. So when these three masks showed up on my doorstep I got a little bit giddy with nostalgia.

I love these 7th Heaven masks for more than just the nostalgia, though. They’re amazingly affordable masks that do the job really well. They’re classics and they’ve been around for so long for a reason!

7th Heaven Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

7th Heaven Masks: Cucumber Peel Off Mask |

The cucumber peel-off mask is, I’m pretty sure, that mask that I remember using when I was a kid. Or at least something very similar! I haven’t used a peel-off mask in years, so I was pretty excited to see all the gunk come out of my skin.

The mask smells quite a lot like alcohol, but it didn’t bother my skin at all. It doesn’t take long to dry, about fifteen minutes if you do a thin layer, and it comes off really easily. It doesn’t hurt to peel off: I was afraid it might take some baby hairs with it, but it left them alone. I didn’t see all that much pore gunk come out of my skin (that’s a good thing!) but my skin felt incredibly smooth after. If you get congested skin a lot this would be a good one to try, but be careful if you have sensitive skin.

7th Heaven Chocolate Mud Masque

The Chocolate Mud Masque has been a favourite of mine for a few years. I don’t buy these often because I am so overloaded with skincare (#skincarejunkie) but when I do, I always go for this one. It’s a thick, chocolate-smelling mask that draws out oil from the skin. It always leaves me feeling de-slicked and with a chocolate craving. 😉

7th Heaven Argan Oil Mud Mask

The Argan Oil Mud mask is a newer launch to the 7th Heaven line up, and I really enjoyed it! It smells beautiful (like argan oil, shocker!) and left my skin feeling not only clean, but refreshed and balanced. This isn’t a mask that strips your skin of all of the moisture, so it would be good if you had normal or combo skin too.

7th Heaven masks are such a great tool to have in your arsenal, whether you’re a beauty addict like me or more casual about skincare, makeup and the whole cosmetics thing. They’re incredibly affordable, easy to get your hands on and they do exactly what you want them to.
