The final FRESH Sugar Lip Treatment I own is the beautiful Cherry. Like the other shades in this lovely range of balms, the Sugar Lip Treatment in Cherry is packed full of hydration and has a fresh, lemony scent that I personally can’t get enough of. It comes in a heavy feeling metal tube (that can lead to the balm melting if you’re not careful) that feels oh-so-luxurious. (I mean, it should at $29 for a full-sized tube!)
Cherry is the perfect winter red, and with the light tint it makes a perfect natural, every day tinted balm. The Sugar Lip Treatment in Cherry won’t leave long-lasting colour on your lips, but it will certainly keep your lips hydrated even after it’s disappeared.
Unfortunately for me, FRESH isn’t cruelty-free which means that when I do inevitably run out of these balms I won’t be picking any others up. But that doesn’t mean that I won’t enjoy this while I have the chance!
I had to do some travelling recently for work, so it only felt appropriate that I do a What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag? post.
Well, I talked about the Berry Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment, I couldn’t very well leave out the untinted version, could I? This balm is aptly called Sugar and is everything you’d expect it to be: a citrus-scented mini-spa for your lips.
I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m always drowning in lip balms…yet I can’t stop myself when I see a new one. When Zoe gifted this one to me a few months ago I was so excited to open it! Even though I certainly didn’t need another open lip balm! This clear balm is a delight to wear – it’s not one of those balms that disappears within a few minutes, yet it also doesn’t weigh heavily on the lips either. It’s the perfect amount of nourishment and longevity. Continue reading
The first time I tried one of the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment balms was when I got me makeup done at Sephora for my engagement photos. The makeup artist applied the clear balm to my lips and I definitely noticed the fresh, lemony scent but was more excited by how amazing it felt on my lips. Ever since then I knew I had to get my hands on some of the balms for myself. Unfortunately, I refuse to buy any more lip balms until I completely use up my current (never ending) stash, so I knew it would be a while before I could own one of these beauties myself. Luckily Zoe (who is more obsessed with the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments than I am) knows how much I love them, and gave me three minis to me when we saw each other recently.
This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.
Between final projects, exams and the semester just generally winding down, I didn’t get an Empties and Tosses post up for March, so this month is going to be a doozy! Let’s just get right into it.

I swear I’m almost back, but I’ve still got a week and a bit to go. I’ll be back soon to regular posting, but in the mean time Zoe has pretty much the perfect post showing off her favourite red lipsticks. – Jodi
When I had the opportunity to guest post for Jodi, of course my first instinct was to share my massive collection of bright lipsticks…Or not. If you follow me already over at Writing Whimsy, it’s quite obvious that red lipstick is not a staple in my routine. And yet..of course I still have some. I thought it would be great to share 4 of my favourites so you too can be Ready With Reds. I went with 2 opaque (one high end, one drugstore) and 2 sheer (one high end, one drugstore) options and I love them all. Let’s get to swatching! Continue reading
For beauty lovers, the semi-annual Sephora VIB Sale is highly anticipated. It’s one of the few times that any sort of discount is applied to items in Sephora, so of course those of us with an uh…. appreciation for the beauty aisles get excited. I’ve put together a list of a few of some Sephora VIB sale recommendations full of some of my favourites and items that I am drooling over this year. Continue reading
