Lise Watier Summer Collection – FOTD

Lise Watier Summer Collection - FOTD

This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.

As promised last week, I’ve put together a little makeup look using the Lise Watier Summer Collection. I tried to use as many products as I could from the collection in this look, and I had so much fun playing with the eyeshadows!

I don’t wear colour on my eyes very often – if I do wear eyeshadow on a normal day it’s probably a neutral wash with a little bit of something in the crease. I easily could have done that thanks to the great selection of neutral, cool-toned browns in this palette, but I wanted to push myself a bit. The blues were just calling my name – and I inadvertently matched my eyeshadow to my shirt. 😉

If you’re looking for some fun colours the Lise Watier Summer Collection is definitely a good choice. I started with by priming lids, as always, and then coating the moveable part of my eyelid in the Ombres Fraîches in Austral. Austral is a really beautiful metallic teal and I was excited to use it as a base for the eyeshadows in the Escale Eye and Cheeks Palette. I stuck with the bluey teals in the palette, using the matte light blue all over the lid to set Austral. The combination of the matte blue and the metallic sheen from Austral gave a beautiful shine to the lids. I added the matte, medium brown shade to my crease to give some depth to my hooded eyes and then plunked a good helping of the dark teal into the outer corner of my eye. This was the part that took the longest, actually because I kept adding and blending and adding and blending to get the depth I wanted.

My eyes were looking a bit too flat, so I decided to add some of the champagne-gold shade to the inner third of my eye. It instantly brightened and lifted the look. I also added the lilac to the inner corner, though it ended up mostly looking silver.

To the bottom lashes, I used the matte plum lightly on the outer corner and the taupe the rest of the way across the lash line for some more brightness.

To get the most use out of the palette as I could, I used the matte, medium brown shade to fill in my brows. I also lined my eyes very thinly with the Intense Waterproof Eyeliner in Vert Marin, which I blended out with a smudger brush to get rid of the intensity.

This wouldn’t be a summery makeup look on Up the Rollercoaster without the bronzer, so of course I used the Escale Bronzing Powder on the perimeter of my face and across the bridge of my nose for a bit of sunkissed glow.

Also on my Face

The more I use the Lise Watier Summer Collection, the more I love it. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the coming of summer! Do you use makeup to celebrate new seasons?
