The Sunday Post #3

Another week has passed us by and with the craziness that was Black Friday, I’m struggling to remember what actually happened last week. I worked my very first retail Black Friday which was insane but not awful but other than that it was a pretty unspectacular week. So with that in mind I’ve decided to share some of my favourite blogs with you today!

Every Day Makeup Routine

I truly love makeup. I mean, obviously, or I wouldn’t write this blog. I love wearing dark, vampy lips or bold reds…but on a day-to-day basis I just can’t be bothered. Touch ups and I really don’t get along – I can’t even be bothered to reapply concealer to heinous zits, let alone anything else. So when I’m out and about – especially when I’m at work – I need a look that is totally fuss-free and easy to maintain.

And so my every day makeup routine was born. Something that I can quickly thrown on in the morning without having to touch up while I’m running around.

The Sunday Post

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

It is a bright, sunny day here in Halifax today, though I haven’t stepped outdoors yet. I’ve been really enjoying having a lazy weekend after a busy week of work that left me super drained and with a hint of the sniffles. I am determined to chase them away with lots of sleep and tea this weekend – so far so good!

REVIEW: Wet n Wild Balm Stain Collection

Wet n Wild Balm Stain Reviews

This post contains products that were sent to me for my consideration. Go here for my disclosure policy.

Wet n Wild has reignited my lip crayon love again – they are just so easy to wear and the crayon format is so fun! This collection of Wet n Wild Balm Stain lippies were sent to me as part of the Steal the Look campaign and I’ve just been having a blast playing with them. (Yes, even the pink one!)

These lippies are so easy to wear with hint of colour, a wallop of moisture and a tiny bit of a stain. They don’t stain as much as the Revlon ones, so if that’s what you really like about these crayon-format lippies I would suggest sticking to Revlon’s offerings. But other than that, these beauties are just so perfect – affordable, moisturizing, fun, with great colour choices for any mood. Yep, I’m sold.

Guest Post on Exquisitely Chic!

Blue and Silver

Good morning, friends! I have a guest post going up over on Exquisitely Chic today – whoop whoop! One of the perks of being the Canadian Beauty Bloggers Blog of the Month is exchanging guest posts with some of the founders of the network, and I’m so thrilled that I got to write a post for Cassy’s blog. She is an absolute sweetheart and is so talented with a makeup brush. Seriously, you should go check out her blog even if you don’t have a look at my post!

Anyway, Novembers theme for the CBB is blue and silver – so wintery – and I thought I would do a super simple makeup look that compliments that colour scheme! The picture above is a small teaser, but you’ll have to go read the post for more info!

I will see you again later today for a look at my progress on my Finish Six by Christmas goals!

The Sunday Post #1

In the hope of getting some more me into this blog, I’ve decided to start a weekly posting of life stuff. This may be things that have happened in my week, blogs I’ve been loving or a cute Korra story.

I started work last Sunday at American Eagle and although I only worked two shifts I definitely think I’m going to love working there. Working in retail seems to be so different in the maritimes than it was in Alberta – the employees don’t hate their lives, for one thing, and the customers are so friendly and chatty. Boy I love the people out here.

We also set up Christmas at work, so the Christmas carols are officially in my head. Needless to say, I don’t think I will need to listen to Christmas music at home to get in the spirit. 😉 We set up our tree at home and it was definitely quite barren from lack of decorations before I found some very inexpensive decorations at Superstore. It’s so cute and little, and a little bit Gryffindor themed. 😉 I think I am going to be making some decorations for the house – would anyone be interested in seeing some DIY Christmas posts?
