Whether you like red-toned burgundies or blue-ish velvets, plum is where it is at for fall. I’ve pulled out a few of my favourite purple-y makeup products into this little plum makeup edit because…well…it’s just so pretty! Continue reading

Finish Five by Fall: Results

Finish Five by Fall 2015

I am so relieved this Finish 5 by Fall project is over. I got so tired of using the same products over and over again – honestly, I probably could have used up more but I just stopped really caring in the last month. Which is why next time around I’m going to be a bit more strategic in my products. (Stay tuned for that next week.) But that being said, I think I did a pretty good job finishing up products this time around!

Apparently the theme of the week on Up the Rollercoaster is red! I’ve been testing out the Irresistible Me Diamond Professional Styling Iron ($149) for the past few weeks and honestly, I’m read to throw out my old flat iron.

The Irresistible Me Diamond Professional Styling Iron looks pretty exciting when you first open it up. It comes in this gorgeous box made of sturdy black board and a magnetic closure on the front – it’s definitely one to upcycle. The iron itself is super light and looks a bit like a tech gadget, especially when you plug it in and the LEDs light up.  Continue reading

BITE Beauty Limited Edition Trio in Mimosa

When I heard that BITE Beauty were going to release their Limited Edition Lip Lab lipsticks as 250 point perks at Sephora I was sooooooo excited. I love BITE lipstick formulas but the last thing I need is to spend more money on a lipstick. But a free lipstick? (plus lipgloss and a compact mirror) Yaaaaaaaaaaas!

Makeup Geek Burlesque is one of those eyeshadows that can be a bit intimidating when you first look at it. I mean, burgundy? What on earth can you do with burgundy? Turns out, once you start playing, it’s more neutral than you think.

Back to School Resolutions

Back to School Resolutions

Photo Credit: Death to Stock Photo

Now that it’s September and I’m heading back to University, I am definitely feeling that start of the year vibe. Like a lot of young adults, September feels more like the beginning of a new year to me than January thanks to all of those years being indoctrinated in grade school. 😉 I didn’t think about doing a post about my back to school resolutions until Jenn posted hers. That got me thinking about what my goals were for September onwards and because I’m so bad at keeping myself accountable, I thought posting it here was a very good idea. Continue reading
