Hi, friends! Sorry for the silence over here the past week. I’ve been holding true to my promise from earlier this month to take some time for myself rather than posting just to put up content and it’s been really good for me, I think. I’m excited to share the final instalment of my Tea Ave reviews with you today, though! If you missed out on the first review, you’re definitely going to want to go check it out – it features a delicious Jasmine Oolong that you really are going to want to read about, I promise.

Today’s post is featuring two more teas from the new Canadian brand – a Magnolia Oolong and an Osmanthus Oolong. These didn’t blow me away quite like the Jasmine did, but I definitely still think they’re worth reviewing and reading. There is something so refreshing about all of the Tea Ave teas that I was sent that heralds spring. Mmm.

Now that it’s March I am even more impatient for spring’s arrival. I am so over the piles of snow, the cold and the general ickiness that winter is. I want sun and flowers, already! I’ve “protested” winter a few times on Instagram, but I thought it was about time that I did it here as well.

As promised, I have some reviews of the goodies that Tea Ave sent my way. I was given three teas to review: Osmanthus Oolong, Magnolia Oolong and (my favourite) Jasmine Oolong, as well as their aroma cup set. I was planning on doing all the reviews in one post but it just got a little crazy in length, so I will be saving the Osmanthus and Magnolia reviews for future reviews!

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t expect a lot when I received this lotion by Kiss My Face. I expected a gimmick with an okay product that I would force myself to use up because I hate wasting product. Well, this is me admitting I judged a book by it’s cover….or perhaps a lotion by it’s bottle?

Dear friends and readers, I would like to introduce you to Tea Ave.

Tea Ave is a brand spankin’ new online tea company that is based out of Vancouver and has drool-worthy everything. Seriously, just go look at the front page of their website – it’s so pretty. Everything is so well thought out – from their logo, to their photographs and the labels for their tea. If there was a designer after my own heart, it would be Tea Ave’s.

The Sunday Post #11

Well it has been a while since I’ve done a Sunday Post! I don’t know where February went but now it’s March and it’s been a month since I’ve chatted with you all.

February has been the month of snow here in Halifax – I think we got something crazy like over 50 cm. Needless to say it’s been very unpleasant and I have been so enjoying the warmth the past two days. The sun is finally out and it’s starting to feel a bit like spring and I’m so happy!

I’m also about to submit my application into Dalhousie University for the Bachelor of Environmental design (due tomorrow) and I’m super crazy nervous that I won’t get in. Uncertainties suck, man. But I’m also really optimistic at the same time? I dunno, my brain has been on a weird rollercoaster with it the past few weeks.

In case you didn’t notice, I’ve been slowly cutting back on the number of posts I’ve been putting up this month and it’s a trend that’s going to continue into March as well. I’ve been using the blog to procrastinate on things I actually have to get done – like the Dal application and working on the online Biology course I’m registered in – and I need to do something to force myself to do them. (Or at least the Bio, now that the application is done.) I am hoping to be very active on my Instagram, though – Lipstick February has really made me love Instagram and it’s so easy to do a quick post, so hopefully that will make up for anything lacking in the blog department.
